TMAA is dedicated to providing quality martial arts instruction to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Straight community within the United States and worldwide. Using experienced and fully accredited instructors, TMAA currently operates as a not-for-profit group offering low cost instruction to all students aged ten years and older. TMAA is recognized as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with the US IRS.
TTKDC is a sub-division of TMAA offering a full promotional program in the Korean martial art of taekwon do. As members of a TTKDC chapter club, students are offered participation in a structured course of instruction taking them from novice beginnings (white belt level) through advanced training (black belt level) and on to senior rank (2nd to 9th degree levels). All TTKDC classes are taught by TMAA certified (and in most cases World Taekwondo Federation certified) black belt instructors, supported by a dedicated staff of color belt assistant instructors.
TTKDC/Castro holds Beginner classes Tuesday and Thursday, from 6 to 8 pm, at Everett Middle School, Girls Gymnasium, 450 Church Street, San Francisco and Wednesdays morning from 8:30am-10:00am. at Hwa Rang Kwan (HRK) Martial Arts Center, 371 5th Street, San Francisco.
TTKDC/Castro has Intermediate/Advanced/Senior/Dan classes Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8:30 to 10:00 pm, at Hwa Rang Kwan Martial Arts Center, 371 5th Street, San Francisco.
TMAA also has a Hapkido class at HRK from 7-8:30 pm, Mondays and Wednesdays, and a Jujitsu class at HRK from 7-8:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
